On June 29th, Naturally Chicago hosted a webinar with Naturally Network partner KeHe to discuss how they partner with brands. The webinar featured two leaders of this major Natural Products distributor: Rachelle Radcliffe, KeHE’s Director of Brand Development, and Alvaro Reyes, Category Manager. They provided valuable information about how KeHE onboards, supports, and create opportunities for brands, including information about their supplier partner programs: TrendFinder™, elevate™, DIVERSEtrade™, CAREtrade®️ and ECOtrade™. The webinar was moderated by Natural Chicago Managing Director Jim Slama, who provided these takeaways:
• KeHE is a B Corporation, is employee-owned, and is looking to work with new brands. They are innovative, and they start with brands with lower-velocity sales because they want to take you to that higher velocity.
• They have an Innovation Scorecard that helps brands understand what they need to do to work with KeHe.
• Entry points to KeHe are primarily through a KeHe Category Manager or through retailers who request brands directly from KeHe.
• KeHE presents numerous trade shows around the country. The show that took place at McCormick Place in Chicago June 15 and 16 did more than $100 million in sales with their brands. KeHE strives to have buyers writing orders at shows.
• KeHE has four different supplier programs: elevate™, DIVERSEtrade™, CAREtrade®️ and ECOtrade™.
